DESCRIPTION

Paper points are cones made of paper used during endodontic therapy to dry or apply substances into the root canal.

Drying the root canal after irrigation prior to filling is a required step of the endodontic treatment. Remaining moisture or solutions in the root canal can be detrimental to a successful obturation. Paper points fulfil these requirements as they are highly absorbent and have accurate size of tip and taper.

Paper points complete range includes 28 mm long ISO standardized points with a conicity of 2% (0.02), 4% (0.04) or 6% (0.06). The different conicity enables a precise fit to the prepared root canal, according to the instruments used. Each ISO standardized points is color-coded for easier identification and features accurate depth marks for precise insertion at desired length (marks at 16 mm, 18 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm, 22 mm and 24 mm).
In addition to ISO standardized points, conventional paper points are also available. They are 28 mm long with a wider taper design than ISO sizes in order to dry the canal with more conical shape.
